Connect Instagram
Four steps. Do them in order.

Before you start
- Your Instagram account, set to professional. Business or Creator both work. A personal profile cannot connect, so if yours is personal, switch it in Instagram's settings first.
- A second Instagram account to test with, in the Instagram app on a phone. YallaDM never answers your own account's comments, so the test has to come from somewhere else. A friend's account works too.
- A post to attach it to. Any post on your account. No post yet? Step 6 has a way round that.
- The link you want to send. A guide, a PDF, a booking page: anything with a web address.
Testing with a Facebook Page instead? You need a Page you manage, in a business portfolio (Meta's word for the group it sits under) you can pick on Facebook's own screen. Read this section, then go straight to Part 4.
Step 1 is the tester invite, and nothing below works until it is accepted. It is accepted on Instagram, in a browser, not by email, and on the account you want to connect.

Accept the tester invite
YallaDM is in beta, so Instagram only lets accounts Aly has invited connect to it. In a browser, log in to Instagram as the account Aly invited, then open instagram.com/accounts/manage_access/. That opens Apps and websites. Open the Tester invites tab and accept the invite.

Sign in to your dashboard
Open dashboard.yalladm.com. Sign in with Google, or type your email address and enter the one-time code that is emailed to you.
Use the same email address every time you come back. Your dashboard belongs to the address you signed in with when you connected.

Press Connect Instagram
You land on a page called Connect an account. Press Connect Instagram. The next page names the tester invite you have already accepted, so press Continue to Instagram.

Allow YallaDM on Instagram
Instagram opens. Log in as the account you accepted the invite on, and allow what it asks for: reading your comments and sending messages.
It worked if
your dashboard comes back, open on Home, saying Nothing has run yet.
If it did not
Seeing Instagram has not let this account through instead? The invite is not accepted on that account yet. Go back to step 1, then press Try again once it is accepted.
